3D printable cosplay

This is a digital 3D printable model of Blacksmith’s Helmet from The Mandalorian television series.
Files contain pieces of Armorer’s helmet ready to be 3D printed on 21x21mm printer beds and complete helmet files that are not cut into smaller pieces.

We created the first version in 2019 and decided to upgrade the helmet in 2023. We consider the current version quite a screen accurate and recommend printing it for your cosplay. The older version is still available though.
The helmet in the cosplay photos is the older version. You can see the updated model in the render images.

At 100% scale the helmet’s inside dimensions are:
Width approx. 188 mm
Length approx. 240 mm
Height approx. 290 mm

You can scale the model according to your head measurements. It is good to make it bigger and then add cushioning to the inside for a snug and comfortable fit.

As the helmet is quite big, it is meant to be post-processed. We recommend a layer height of 0.2 to 0.3 mm on FDM printers. All parts are aligned to the printing platform for easy manipulation. Most of the parts need minimal or no use of printing supports to save printing time and filament. For reliable printing, we also recommend setting a brim to the helmets shell parts, because of their height and low thickness. It will ensure that the parts will not come off the printing platform during the printing process. Printing settings will vary greatly depending on your specific printer.
