Goblin Slayer’s helmet

Goblin Slayer is the series’ main character, an experienced silver ranked adventurer who only concerns himself with hunting goblins.

This model is a wearable helmet. The helmet is quite big and is meant to be post-processed.

As the helmet is quite big, it is meant to be post-processed. We recommend a layer height of 0.1 to 0.3 mm on FDM printers. All parts are aligned to the printing platform for easy manipulation. Most of the parts need minimal or no use of printing supports to save printing time and filament. For reliable printing, we also recommend setting a brim to the helmets shell parts, because of their height and low thickness. It will ensure, that the parts will not come off the printing platform during the printing process. Printing settings will vary greatly depending on your specific printer. This model was created by someone from our 3Demon team. It is fan-made.

The helmet model is well made and it’s one piece rather than in 4 parts (Helmet, two forehead pieces, and face plate ) like I’ve found most helmets to be in. This helmet model is a lot easier to put together than others I have found. I like how two helmet models are included, both damaged and undamaged, but there is not split version of the damaged one. If the damaged one ever gets split, I’ll gladly print it out.

The process was daunting at first since I’ve never printed anything so elaborate before, but once I got a hang of how to orient the pieces, everything printed with no issue and assembled smoothly. This is my new favorite helmet in my collection.

Is this a one size fits all helmet or how big is this?

7 months 14 days ago

Hi, I the opening is about 155 mm wide which should fit most heads. The upper part of the helmet is bigger than a human head, that’s just the way the helmet shape is designed so add some cushioning inside for a soft and comfortable fit. The best practise is to print a small slice of the helmet in the narrowest part a try if you head fits into it and then print the whole thing if that part fits. If not, you can always scale it up a bit.

how did you do the red eye with smoke?

It’s a red LED light with an e-cigarette connected to an air pump and a battery. We might do an instructables for it one day.
