Manual for 3D modellers and designers

We have prepared a few articles regarding the process of creating 3D models for 3D printing. We’ll describe the way we consider the best.

The main reason that made us write this series of articles was a question we hear a lot. “How do you create your models?” Almost every day we meet people that would like to start creating their own stuff but they don’t know where to start. In the past we’ve done some 3D modeling courses in Prague, but for the rest of you, there is this article. Hopefully you’ll find it useful and start creating you own 3D models soon!

We decided to put the modeling programs into four categories. It is purely our own idea to devide them this way. It is possible that some of them could be in a different category and some of the programs below could belong to more than one category.

Without further ado, let’s have a look at the 3D modeling programs. So the program categories are Modeling, Sculpting, Construction, and Mathematical (parametric) programs. In each of these topics, we will go through the most known programs but of course, there is way too much to talk about. We’ll mention a lot of them, cover the most popular ones, tell you about our favorite ones. We’ll describe the advantages and disadvantages of some.  These programs can be either free or paid.

4. Mathematical Programs
