Assembly
Most parts fit standard 210 mm printer beds. The chest and shin armor are split into sections with straight cuts and hexagonal connection pegs. For extra strength, I recommend welding the seams together.
Connecting the Armor Plates – You have two options:
- Leather strips – my personal go-to method
- 3D-printed loops and string – an optional alternative for the arms
- Position the plates according to the part numbers and marked overlap lines.
- Measure and cut your leather strips or string to the required length.
- For leather strips: apply hot glue to the plates where the leather will attach.
- Press the leather strips into place and hold them until the glue cools.
- Voilà! Your plates stay connected while remaining flexible enough to move with you.
🔩 Attachments & Fastening
- Corset & Forearms: I used buckles for easy fastening and removal. Front plates are joined with the chest, and back plates are velcroed to the corset.
- Shin Armor: The two halves are joined with Velcro straps glued to the inside.
- Chest & Shoulders: These are all tied together into one large piece using leather straps.
🔥 A Few Extra Adjustments
I ended up adding extra holes to the armor using a soldering tool to get everything sitting just right.
The ideal hole placement depends on your body shape and how the armor fits, so try everything on before making extra holes. In the original design, the cross is painted on the skirt, but I decided to print it and hang it from a chain. The Cross file is included!
