A place to rest. This 3D printable Bonfire Book Nook is inspired by the bonfire at Firelink Shrine in Dark Souls. A quiet refuge, hidden away. A place to rest, where memories linger, and the fire slowly fades.

📦 What’s Included

  • STL files for the box and scene layers

  • 3MF for the layers with pre-set color changes

🖨️ Printing Notes

  • Layer height: 0.20 mm

  • No supports needed

  • Color changes on 1 sheet

I’ve had the best results with beige or orange PLA for the fire, and blue on top.

🛠️ Assembly

For the most atmospheric result, I recommend using two light sources.

Front light (the flame):

The space behind the bonfire is limited, so a small, compact light source works best here (an LED candle placed directly behind the flame fits the narrow space perfectly), and the gentle flicker creates a softer, more natural fire, keeping the bonfire alive. 🔥

Rear light (background glow):

For the background and overall scene lighting, use IKEA STRIMSÄV LED spotlight. It slides into the rear rail, allowing you to adjust its position and easily turn it on or off with the built-in button.

You can also use a small string of LED fairy lights, threading them from the flame area all the way to the back layer.

There are several Book Nook designs, and they all fit the same box. We made them as part of our team Christmas activity, and they’re all compatible - so feel free to mix and match if you’re in the mood to blend a couple of universes together.
