Description
Trident of Neptune – 3D print model
Trident of Poseidon from the 2018 DC movie Aquaman
Files contain pieces of the trident ready to be 3D printed and complete trident files, that are not cut into smaller pieces. Keep in mind that the model is quite big.
ASSEMBLY
We created this prop for a cosplayer, so we decided to make it extra strong by replacing the 3D-printed rod with a PVC pipe. Measure your PVC pipe and create an object of the same size in your slicer. Scale to 110% and subtract it from the trident decorative parts that you’re going to print. This way, you can use any wooden rod or PVC pipe to strengthen the prop.
SCALE
At 100% scale the trident’s dimensions are:
Height approx. 2000 mm (78.74 inches)
You can scale the model according to your height. Model is pretty big.
PRINTER SETTINGS
As the trident is quite big, it is meant to be post-processed. We recommend a layer height of 0.1 to 0.3 mm on FDM printers. All parts are aligned to the printing platform for easy manipulation. Most of the parts need minimal or no use of printing supports to save printing time and filament. For reliable printing, we also recommend setting a brim to the helmets shell parts, because of their height and low thickness. It will ensure, that the parts will not come off the printing platform during the printing process. Printing settings will vary greatly depending on your specific printer.
