Files contain pieces of the axe ready to be 3D printed and complete axe files, that are not cut into smaller pieces.

The handle features a 15mm hole so that you can insert a rod to strengthen the handle.

SCALE:
At 100% scale, the dimensions of the axe are:
Length approx. 1500 mm (59 inches)
Width approx. 601 mm (23.7 inches)
Height approx. 222 mm (8.7 inches)

You can scale the model as you like.

PRINTER SETTINGS
We recommend a layer height of 0.2 to 0.3 mm on FDM printers. All parts are aligned to the printing
platform for easy manipulation. Printing settings will vary greatly depending on your specific printer.

Do you like the model and don’t have a 3D printer? There are lots of people who offer 3D printing services these days. Try searching for someone who offers them in your area.

Hello! Use black as a base color and then a metallic silver spray of your choice. The brand doesn’t matter and we have different ones around here anyway. For the wooden parts use matt acrylics. Good luck! 🙂

How much total filament does this require

Depends on the printing settings of course. Your slicer program will show you that before printing. It might be around 3-4 kg including the handle. You can also print only the head and use real branches to save some filament. (As we did here: https://www.instructables.com/Woven-Stormbreaker-Real-Groot-Plant/ )

Ive started printing the handle in a wood pla. I see a hole down the center. What is meant to go there for building the handle? Its round and i didnt see anything in the file.
